I love photography but never really got the chance to get into it. I'm pretty much in love with everything artsy-craftsy and want to add it onto my ever growing hobby list. Speaking of that list... I should probably add these hobbies to my life list... Anyways, back to my original point. It's 12:37am on a Friday and I had some inspiration. With my crappy loyal pink camera (Note to Readers: I. Hate. Pink.) I plan to document 365 days of my life... in photos. I was inspired by an article Yahoo posted on a designer making 365 dresses in a year... for $1. I can't sew. For that matter I don't take good pictures. But maybe I can learn...
September 1st sounds like a good starting date. I don't know if I'll be able to make this consistent but I can try. If I choose to edit these pictures I will do so using Picnik.
Along side this project (Offical Name: Project365)--Creative, ;D I know, I will continue blogging about everything else going on in my life (Pre-Med, Knitting, College Life, etc.)
I just had an idea. In order to not overload my blog with a post daily of Project365 I'll make a weekly update for you all.

T-11 Days
There are officially 11 days until I begin college. I have finally decided to start packing my wardrobe away. It is an odd feeling, seeing my room emptying out and having my entire life stacked into small boxes. Evaluating what to keep and what to leave behind...
On a completely separate note: I officially finished one skein of the peacock yarn and the 1st section of the BPB (Big Peacock Bag) is almost complete. Should be finished today even! I had to go to Hobby Lobby yesterday to buy another skein, I hope this one will take me through the end.
Speaking of leaving my house (to go to HL)... There is SO much road construction going on outside my subdivision! They've blocked one roadway which caused it to take me 20 more minutes to get to a place that was only 5 minutes away. I. Hate. Road. Construction. (Who doesn't though?) -- Well, I guess in a way the road constructors... because it gives them a job, But even they must get irritated sometimes. This is Michigan though, we only have two seasons... Winter, and Road Construction :)

PS- As mentioned in one of my earlier posts I really liked the idea of changing my title to "The Musings of a Pre-Med Student." It is official now. Just an update (:

Arangetram: 8/11/2007
Yesterday was the 3-year-anniversary of my, my sister, and my cousin's Arangetram.
An arangetram is the culmination of many years of learning dance. It represents new learning in the area of dance and Indian culture. The student rises to a new level of performance, and moreover, develops the discipline to achieve a long term goal. As with any graduation, it is much more than a stamp of approval.
I began learning Bharatnatym in 1999 and graduated in 2007 after 8 years of dance. The Arangetram was the BEST thing I have ever done. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something major in life. And for this reason, Dance gives my life meaning and purpose and I love it.
Dance is my passion <3

Box #1: Taped Shut
My first box for college is officially filled and packed! T-18 days until move-in! Excitinggg!
So I realize I haven't written here in a few days and so decided to update. The Teal Blue yarn that I mentioned I bought is officially on the needles! It is on its way to becoming a gorgeous bag aptly named: "The Big Peacock Bag" as the color of the yarn is 'Peacock.' Ironic, huh? (:
Box #1 contains a lot of decorative stuff like picture frames of my family and a storage locker and other things that I definitely won't be needing in the next few weeks. I'm planning on packing my purses (I have a few of those ;) ) as well as jewelry that I won't be wearing. Wish me luck!

Despicable Me... in 3D
Today I went to see Despicable Me. The movie definitely has its funny moments. (The well known fluffy quote for one: "It's so FLUFFY! I'm going to DIEEE.") But also had moments where you hoped it got better so your money was worthwhile. I'm still waiting to see Inception, I've only heard good things about that movie!
Bought some more yarn from Hobby Lobby today, planning on making a purse and... something else, out of the two skeins I bought: Deep Violet and a Bright Teal Blue.

Autumn
It is officially August! My favorite season is Autumn, even the name is pretty, and it always seems as though August is the beginning of Autumn for me. In hopes to ward of the slight chills that will accompany the evenings from now on I begin a new wrap of sorts. It is called 'Summer Flies' and is a pattern by a designer on Ravelry. It is my first attempt at knitting lace and I must say it is going rather well. I will not post pictures until I am done as they will not justify its beauty, if I may be so modest...
I also love August as I will be starting college at the end of this month! The 28th to be exact. I have been counting down since May and it is almost here! I cannot wait to begin this new chapter in my life. I will definitely be updating this blog with the wonders of my college life. I may even have to rename this blog:
xPeacock Feathersx --> The Musings of a Pre-Med Student
I actually rather like that title. You may see a switch coming to a blog near you. :D
