Scrunchable Scarf: UPDATE

So, a few days ago I blogged about a scarf I was making for my sister. I originally started this scarf on July 14th and it is finally done! 12 days for a scarf... not bad (: So I figured I would update this blog and show you all the finished scarf.

So here are two pictures of the scarf. One, showing stitch detail and one showing me wearing it. (:

A Life List is, according to Maggie Mason at mightygirl.com, quite simply, a list of all the things you want to do in your life.

Scrunchable Scarf

I can also be found online as xPeacockFeathersx on Ravelry... I will post up a link to Ravelry once I get around to setting up this blog a bit more... Most of those projects will be cross-referenced here. As promised this post contains pictures of my newest knitting project:
So yup, pretty much the scarf is made up of large sections of white with stripes of pink in between. It is for my sister whose favorite color is pink. Despite the room's appearance I. Hate. Pink. Well I can stand it in small doses but I am getting slowly fed up with the pinkness of my room. Thankfully my college dorm :D will be blue and green when I start this fall. Yes, exciting! I am planning on making this exact same scarf for my sister's roommate whose favorite color is orange...

That's all for now, I'll probably go work on my scarf some more before trying to figure out what to do with myself for the rest of tonight.

11:11 and Dandelion Wishes

I just finished watering our plants and I came across a single dandelion in the middle of our lawn. It was in what I like to call the "Wish" stage of its life... All white and fluffy and begging to be wished on. So wish I did. Some may find it silly but I love wishing on things like dandelions and 11:11.

As I mentioned in a previous post I knit to relieve stress. I recently started on a scarf for my sister and it is at a picture-worthy stage... Expect pictures in my next post (:

Speaking of wishes, I recently fell in love with this song by B.O.B
"Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really use a wish right now..."

Macbook Pro: My New Love

Today I bought a Macbook Pro. It is my 'Graduation/Going Away to College' gift. It. Is. Gorgeous. I have no idea why the whole world doesn't have Macs or why I waited so long to get one... This will actually make blogging so much easier because I'll be able to post photos quickly as well.

Shopping note: Saw gorgeous peacock feather earrings in the mall... didn't get them though as I don't have anything to go with them... I will definitely have to fix that :D

Relatively short post for tonight as I am off to go explore the wonders of my Mac (:

Writer's Block...

I’ve spent weeks thinking about setting up a blog, deciding a name for it, thinking about things I would like to tell the world... and now I have writer’s block. Go figure. Well, if you're here, I guess you want to know a little bit about me. I have many hobbies which stem from being the artistic one in my family.

The only artistic one.

I dance, play sports, knit, attempt to crochet, draw, paint, and dabble in the arts of clay and pottery. My career goal is a bit less artistic: Doctor. Specifically? Well currently it's neonatology (premature babies) but as I am about to begin my first year in college, many a people have told me that my specialty will change. I don't think so, but we'll see :D 8 years from now. I really do think that the length of time of study to become a doctor turns people off from becoming one. To get away from the stresses of life I craft, mostly knitting. Somewhere along the line I will begin to blog about my knitting and other crafts along with the adventures of my daily life. My rambling for today has come to an end.
